Department: Printing

Title: Full Time CI Pressman / Flexographic Press

Reports To: Lead Hand/Supervisor

Primary Responsibility

Reporting to the Printing Supervisor your primary responsibility is to set \xe2\x80\x93up and operate flexographic printing presses in accordance with the specifications and quality requirements of the docket in the most cost effective way possible.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set-up the printing press to produce printed film in accordance with the specifications and quality requirements of the docket
• Direct all staff to operate the press in the most efficient way achieving the stated machine production rates and daily production targets
• Ensure scrap rates on all dockets are maintained below 2%
• Follow all Food Safety, product quality and Health and Safety Guidelines as laid out in the Departmental Summary
• Perform all work activity in a safe manner
• Assist with all other work that needs to be completed.

Nice to Have:

• Good mechanical aptitude
• Strong math skills
• Excellent English communication skills, grade 12 or equivalent
• Ability to complete required paperwork accurately to include quality and production reports
• Flexible as shift work is required

Must Haves:

• Strong desire to learn
• Grade 12 level or equivalent education.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; reading, writing and speaking
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physically able to perform all aspects of the job; be on your feet entire shift, bending, reaching, walking, lifting up to 50lbs
• Ability to follow directions, written or spoken
