Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant to support our chocolate team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, cake decorating, and packaging while ensuring adherence to food safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food industry, particularly in baking, kitchen operations, and customer service.

Duties

Assist with food preparation, including cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards Produce chocolate items with precision and creativity, ensuring visual appeal Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in all work areas following proper food handling procedures Package baked goods and other food items for delivery or sale, ensuring quality control Support kitchen staff with various tasks such as ingredient organization and inventory management Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and ensuring a positive experience Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining equipment to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen, bakery or chocolate is preferred but not required Skills in chocolate, baking, or pastry are highly desirable Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices Experience with food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations within the food industry is advantageous Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $17.75-$26.00 per hour
