Position Summary
We are seeking a
licensed Chiropodist
who is passionate about patient care and eager to work in a supportive, team-based clinical environment.
The ideal candidate will provide full-scope chiropody services, contribute to patient education, and collaborate with our administrative team to ensure an excellent patient experience.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
Clinical Care
Perform comprehensive biomechanical, gait, and footwear assessments.
Diagnose and treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions (e.g., plantar fasciitis, nail disorders, warts, calluses, corns, ingrown nails).
Provide diabetic and high-risk foot care, including wound assessment and management.
Prescribe, cast, and fit
custom orthotics, orthopedic footwear, and compression therapy
.
Administer and manage therapeutic treatments (e.g., shockwave therapy, taping, padding, and laser or cryotherapy where applicable).
Maintain accurate and detailed clinical notes in compliance with the
College of Chiropodists of Ontario (COCOO)
standards.
Patient Education & Communication
Educate patients on proper foot hygiene, footwear, and ongoing preventive care.
Explain diagnosis and treatment options clearly and compassionately.
Work collaboratively with referring physicians, physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals.
Clinic Operations
Participate in chart audits, inventory management, and clinic improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with infection-control and sterilization protocols.
Contribute to a positive team culture and assist with promoting clinic services.
Qualifications
Licensed and in good standing with the
College of Chiropodists of Ontario (COCOO)
.
Strong clinical assessment, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage independent caseload efficiently.
Familiarity with orthotic and footwear prescription processes.
Experience with shockwave therapy, compression therapy, or wound care is an asset.
