Seeking Full or Part-Time Chiropodist (including new graduates)

The Foot Clinic is looking for a Full or Part-Time Chiropodist to join our Team which has been serving North York for the past 38 years.

Currently, we have 4 Full Time Chiropodists in an 8 Room Clinic.

Located in a busy plaza at Bathurst Street/Finch Avenue West with Tim Horton's, Dollarama, CIBC and Subway Sandwich

New grads welcome. Position available immediately.

Our Clinic offers Chattanooga ESWT Shockwave, Conmed Electrosurgery Hyfrecator and Theralase Therapeutic Laser.

All equipment and supplies provided.

/ Duties

Chiropodist will take on the existing patient load and build from there. Perform a full scope of practice according to the College of Chiropodists of Ontario (COCOO) and communicate with referring Doctors Perform comprehensive Chiropody services including Foot assessments to identify Pathologies and Conditions Perform detailed Biomechanical Assessments and prescribe Custom-made Foot Orthotics Provide Treatment and Management plans for various Foot conditions including Corns, Calluses, Ingrown Toenails, Fungal Infections, Diabetic Foot care, Wound Care Management and Foot Pathologies and Conditions Perform Full and Partial Nail Avulsions Educate patients on proper Footcare practices, preventive measures and suitable Footwear choices Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes as per COCOO Stay updated with the latest advancements in Chiropody and attend professional development courses to the minimum COCOO standards or higher Deliver exceptional patient care and contribute to the clinic's success, including treating scheduled patients, enhancing retention and effectively communicating management plans
Qualifications / Required Skills

Registration in good standing with the COCOO Injection and Prescription privileges with the COCOO Current Professional Liability Insurance to COCOO Standards Trained in Nail surgeries, Custom Foot Orthotics, Compression stocking fitting providing sound Footwear advice Able to work independently or as part of a team in a private clinical setting Ethical values with a focus on patient care Strong knowledge of Foot anatomy, Biomechanics and common Foot conditions. Proficient in conducting Foot assessments, diagnosing Foot conditions and developing treatment plans Able to utilize a compassionate and empathetic approach towards patient care and ensuring comfort and well-being Exceptional communication skills to effectively explain conditions, treatment options and Foot care instructions Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy Dedication to continuing education and staying updated with the latest industry trends
