As a part of the Refined Footcare Team, the Chiropodist is responsible for providing exceptional care and service to patients in the assessment and treatment of foot disorders. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, disciplined and looking to be part of our exciting journey based on a long-term partnership with exceptional growth potential.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assess patient needs, develop and implement a treatment program in accordance with the professional college's standards of practice.
Educate patients on their treatment program and proper maintenance and prevention techniques.
Advanced skills in all foot care services such as corn removal, callus debridement, wart and fungal treatment, diabetic foot care, pediatric foot care, ingrown toenail treatment, etc.
Must have a thorough understanding of biomechanics and orthotic adjustment and prescribing
Advise patients on health and lifestyle benefits to aid in their treatment to regain active daily living.
Consults with other allied health care professionals within the clinic to develop treatment plans for clients.
Is proactive at building a successful Chiropodist business within the clinic where patients are both acquired and retained.
Maintains treatment, patient records, charts and the EMR.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a licensed Chiropodist under the College of Chiropodists of Ontario with current professional liability insurance.
Excellent patient service skills that build loyalty and referrals.
Able to work a variety of shifts including days, weekends, and evenings.
Proven track record of meeting and achieving goals/targets.
