Contract Period: September to December 2025 (with possibility of extension to June 2026)

Location: Huron Community Centre (80 Tartan Avenue, Kitchener)

Times: Friday Evenings 4:15pm-6:30pm and/or Saturday mornings 9:00am - 1:00pm

The Huron Community Association offers a variety of different activities for Adults and youth of all ages.

The HCA is looking for staff who are organized, motivated to participate, and skilled at being asset builders for children and youth. You may be asked to also supervise additional volunteers.

Major Responsibilities:

Plan and organize Soccer Programming (teaching skills, drills and active game play) and games for ages 6-8yrs, 9-12yrs, and 13-15yrs Coordinate child centered programming and ensure that equipment and supplies are set-up Provide coordination, support and leadership to the other program staff and volunteers Act as a positive role model for program staff, volunteers, and participants Implement positive and effective behaviour management strategies Develop and deliver quality programming to program participants each week
Qualifications:

Experience in leading soccer programs, and sports or active games for children Must possess relevant leadership, administration, supervision, communication, social development and positive behaviour management skills Must have current Standard First-Aid Certificate, or willing to obtain Police check required upon offer of employment Must have strong programming skills with a preferred variety of skills in leading sports to children Own transportation to the program location will be required
Recommended age: 18 years of age or older

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $21.50 per hour

Experience:

coaching/program leadership: 2 years (preferred) Soccer: 3 years (preferred)
