Location: Huron Community Centre (80 Tartan Avenue, Kitchener)
Times: Tuesday Evenings 5:45-8:45pm and/or Wednesday evenings 4:00-8:30pm

The Huron Community Association offers a variety of different activities for Adults and youth of all ages.
The HCA is looking for staff who are organized, motivated to participate, and skilled at being asset builders for children and youth. You may be asked to also supervise additional volunteers.
Major Responsibilities:
Plan and organize Basketball Programming (teaching skills, drills and active game play) and games for ages 6-8. 9-12, 13-15
Coordinate child centered programming and ensure that equipment and supplies are set-up
Provide coordination, support and leadership to the other program staff and volunteers
Act as a positive role model for program staff, volunteers, and participants
Implement positive and effective behaviour management strategies
Develop and deliver quality programming to program participants each week
Qualifications:
Experience in leading various basketball, sports or active games for children
Must possess relevant leadership, administration, supervision, communication, social development and positive behaviour management skills
Must have current Standard First-Aid Certificate, or willing to obtain
Police check required upon offer of employment
Must have strong programming skills with a preferred variety of skills in leading sports to children
Own transportation to the program location will be required
Recommended age: 18 years of age or older
