Job Function:

o Responsible for the constant supervision, safety and well-being of children

o Recognizes and responds to the needs of each child by using developmentally appropriate teaching and child behaviour management techniques

o Shares in the responsibility for planning, preparing and implementing stimulating, age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity and learning (Reggio)

o Participates fully and consistently as a conscientious team member in caring for the children and maintains open communication with all co-workers

o Establishes and maintains regular communication with parents

o Always goes above and beyond for the children and parents

Education and Qualifications:

o Experience working with children

o Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with children, staff, and parents

o Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification (A must)

o Up-to-date health form filled out with Ministry required immunizations

o Criminal background check (VSS) (A must)
