We are recruiting for Flexible Part Time Asleep Night Staff. - Can be scheduled up to 48 hours in a 2 week pay period, but can work up to 88 hours prior to overtime. Eligible for Health Care Spending Account as per Collective Agreement.
The Residential Support Assistant will work as a part of a team of professionals to support people to live in a state of dignity, share in all elements of living in the community and have the opportunity to participate effectively based on the goals and objectives identified by the individual and/or their support network. These supports shall be provided in a manner that promotes the care, welfare, safety and security of the people being supported.
Qualifications and experience for the roles are as follows:
Degree or Diploma in Human Services (i.e. DSW, CYW, SSW) or an acceptable equivalent. PSW will also be considered.
Previous work experience supporting people with a developmental disability.
Proven interpersonal and communication skills. Good organizational, communication and problem solving skills, coupled with the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with other staff, professional support services and members of the community.
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
First Aid, CPR and have physical capacity to safely employ approved behavioural intervention techniques.
Pharmacology (or willing to obtain)
Basic computer skills
Good attendance record
Be able to work nights and weekend rotations
Must be able to provide a clear vulnerable sector police check
