Childcare Workers

to join our School Aged Child Care programs in the

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for caring, nurturing, supervision and safety of children Plans, organizes, and implements activities and special events for the program. Oversees daily program operations by ensuring facilities and equipment are available, policies and guidelines are followed, and all standards and licensing requirements are met. Provides recommendations to the supervisor regarding program development, policy and procedure updates, and program evaluation. Ensure Agency Policies and Procedures, program standards, WCB standards, Community Care Licensing regulations, risk management requirements and general facility safety standards are met Collaborates with community service providers and other professionals to coordinate services, facilitate referrals, and represent the organization or program at external meetings and events. Monitors and authorizes program expenditures, maintains accurate financial records, and contributes to budget preparation in accordance with established procedures. Maintains program records and statistical data and prepares reports as required

Qualifications:

A diploma, certificate and/or relevant experience working with children in recreation, education or other social services. Current First Aid certificate and Food Safe (or willingness to obtain) Successful completion of Agency screening process, including criminal record check Class 4 Driver's Licence or willingness to obtain

Hours:

Casual on call hours, Monday to Friday.

Rate of Pay:

$22.60 per hour
