REPORTS TO:

JOB SUMMARY:
The Childcare Resource & Referral Facilitator will facilitate the day-to-day activities of the Childcare Resource & Referral Program while providing resource and consultation services to parents, childcare providers and other professionals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Childcare Resource & Referral Facilitator will have:
Early Childhood Education Diploma and two years experience in a supervised setting; or
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience
All supervised settings to be in services to children.

The Childcare Resource & Referral Facilitator will require:

Excellent relationship skills with service recipients, staff, professionals and agency personnel
Demonstrated ability to prepare and write a variety of reports
Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver public presentations, meetings and workshops
Demonstrated familiarity with strategic planning processes
Demonstrated team building skills and leadership ability
Demonstrated familiarity with computers and all relevant software programs
Excellent knowledge of the geographical area, its communities and its resources
High degree and awareness of ethical professional conduct
Understanding and competence in working with diverse cultures, particularly aboriginal people
Ability to mediate and/or resolve conflict
Valid driver's license
Child Safe First Aid and Child CPR Certificat
W.H.M.I.S. Certificate
Foodsafe Certificate
CPI

HOURS OF WORK:
39 hours per week, flexible to meet program needs
RATE OF PAY:
$27.54
