Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role as a Childcare Program Support Staff at Ivy Montessori School in Etobicoke, ON. This role involves assisting with daily preparation, outdoor supervision of children, and maintaining a clean and organized space.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with Daily Preparation:

Help prepare materials for the day as directed

Supervise Children:

Assist with the bathroom routines. Ensure the safety of the children during outdoor playtime.

Maintain a Clean and Organized Environment:

Clean and sanitize materials, equipment, and surfaces. Organize supplies and materials.

Kitchen Responsibilities:

Ensure morning snack and lunch dishes are washed and sanitized, prepare afternoon snack, manage inventory of snack and kitchen items.

Follow Safety Protocols:

Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures. Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.

General Qualifications & Requirements:

Patient, compassionate, and nurturing attitude towards children Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift up to 44lbs Ability to work outdoors for 1 hour daily, year-round Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level 3 Certification (must be obtained prior to the first day of work) Valid Food Handlers Certificate (must be obtained prior to the first day of work) Up-to-date Immunization Record Complete a Successful Vulnerable Sector Check Legally entitled to work in Canada Prior experience working in a childcare setting is an asset
