Pathways Health Centre for Children is a charitable not-for-profit family-centered community agency serving children and youth with physical, developmental and communication needs. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, the Centre provides a full range of pediatric rehabilitation and support services, largely funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. In addition, Pathways offers a therapeutic pool, open to people of all ages and abilities in the community and has a licensed, integrated childcare service on site (C.A.C.H.E.).

Program Support Staff

Lifelong Learning Program (LLP)

Reporting to the Supervisor of Support Services

the Program Support Staff Worker - LLP will support the participants and daily activities of the Pathways Lifelong Learning Program for Adults 19+. In conjunction with the LLP team, the Program Support Staff will assist in the development of program related resources and learning tools to support the success and ability levels of the participants in the program along with planning activities and participation in the community.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

Completion of Secondary School (Grade 12) Diploma / Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Social Sciences or Human Services an asset Experience working with youth/adults with disabilities, their families and the community Fluency in French an asset Ability to adapt and modify tasks and activities using a strength-based approach to meet the needs of the individual Food Handler certificate Valid G Driver's License
The successful candidate must have a valid Ontario driver's license and maintain adequate liability insurance or must have ongoing access to a vehicle and driver for Pathways business. A Vulnerable Sector Police Check is also required at time of hire (dated within the last 6 months) as well as proof of applicable immunizations.
