As an Early Childhood Educator at Little Hummingbirds, you will:

Plan and deliver inspiring, child-led activities based on Montessori and FLIGHT principles Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where each child is seen, heard, and supported Observe, document, and assess children's learning and development Build strong, respectful relationships with families and collaborate with your team Participate in reflective practice, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment Support children's physical, social, and emotional development through intentional routines and meaningful engagement Safely transport Out of School Care (OSC) children to and from nearby schools (as needed) Take on other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certification (Level 1, 2, or 3) or equivalent (e.g., B.Ed.) Valid Standard First Aid with Infant/Child CPR Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search Previous experience in licensed child care is an asset Familiarity with Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations; experience with Montessori and/or FLIGHT is a strong asset Reliable, creative, and committed to ongoing learning and growth Bonus: Valid Class 4 Driver's License (required for OSC transportation)
