Huntsville Riverside Childcare (HRC) is aims to bring quality care to the families in Huntsville area. We are eager to be a positive impact in the community and are looking for team members who share our love for early learning and child development.
RESPONSIBILITES
Implement all aspects of assigned child's Individual Support Plan
Facilitate assigned child's interaction and participation with the program
Maintain a consistent daily schedule with assigned child
Complete required documentation of children's development, behaviour, and interactions.
Communicate affectively with parents about their child and the program
Comply with all municipal, provincial, and HRC policies.
Attends all relevant professional development opportunities necessary for the position.
Identify the indicators of abuse and be prepared to report signs of child abuse to the Child Protection Services.
Adhere to work schedule.
Demonstrate appropriate behaviours and dress that aligns with our values.
Efficiently work as a team with staff, placement students and volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRMENTS
Must Have:
High School Diploma
Must be able to work outdoors for at least 2 hours daily
Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification (or willing to obtain)
Vulnerable sector check (Criminal record check). ( or willing to obtain)
Up-to-Date Immunizations.
Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Able to use medium physical effort throughout the day; outdoor play, bending, crouching, lifting children, etc.
Additional Assets:
Excellent written communication skills.
Experience working with young children aged 18m-4yrs.
Experience in a daycare or school setting.
Food Handler's Certificate.
Early Childhood Educator Diploma.
Registered and a member in good standing in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
