Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated experienced educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging educational activities. You will play a crucial role in shaping their early learning experiences and ensuring their overall well-being.

Duties

Develop and implement play-based experiences that reflect the current interest in the classroom Provide spontaneous indoor and outdoor experiences for each age Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages children to explore and learn. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to build strong relationships. Observe and assess children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs. Organize classroom activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Maintain accurate records of children's development and communicate updates to parents regularly. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational program and share best practices. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the classroom.

Qualifications

Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators is an asset but not required. Pay rate will reflect qualifications and will meet the Ontario minimum wage for Early Childhood Educators*
Knowledge of, and practice with How Does Learning Happen? Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively. Proficient in computer operation for maintaining records and communication purposes. Ability to communicate clearly in English without the use of Artificial Intelligence (A/I); Excellent writing skills for creating lesson plans and documentation. A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their growth. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
