The BriarPatch Childcare Cottage is growing and we are seeking a Childcare Centre Director to join our Team Director! In this dynamic leadership role, you will oversee the daily operations of a bustling childcare centre, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children and team members alike. Responsibilities
Lead the overall management of the childcare centre, including team member recruitment, program development, curriculum implementation, and daily operations to ensure a high-quality learning environment.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, providing support and communication to meet their needs and promote family involvement.
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate employees to foster a motivated, professional team committed to excellence in early childhood education.
Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies to maintain a safe environment for children and staff.
Oversee curriculum planning and implementation that aligns with developmental milestones and educational best practices.
Manage administrative tasks such as budgeting, enrollment records, reporting requirements, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Promote continuous improvement through staff development initiatives, parent feedback, and staying current with early childhood education trends.
Coordinate community outreach efforts to enhance program visibility and build strong partnerships with local organizations.
Requirements
Higher education teaching experience or background in early childhood education or related fields.
Proven experience in education administration or leadership roles within a childcareQQ setting.
Prior university experience or involvement in higher education settings is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Experience working directly with young children across various developmental stages.
Strong knowledge of licensing requirements, health and safety regulations pertinent to childcare centres.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with families, staff, regulatory agencies, and community partners.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
