Summary

All Nations Banquet Hall is seeking a reliable and experienced Chef to prepare daily meals and snacks for our childcare centre. The kitchen is located within our connected banquet hall facility. In addition to childcare meal preparation, this role will occasionally support banquet and catering food preparation, packaging, and kitchen sanitation as needed.

Responsibilities

Childcare Centre Kitchen

Prepare daily meals and snacks in accordance with approved menus and health regulations Ensure food is properly cooked and meets nutrition and safety standards Provide food substitutions for children with allergies, sensitivities, or dietary restrictions Ensure all Individual Anaphylaxis Plans (IAPs) and food restriction lists are posted, current, and strictly followed Post daily menus and any substitutions Collect dishes and utensils after scheduled meals Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Banquet Hall & Catering Support

Assist with food preparation and packaging for banquet hall and catering events as needed Support kitchen setup, cleanup, and sanitation before and after banquet hall service Maintain sanitation standards of the catering kitchen and facility
General Duties

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and storage area; remove garbage as required Compile weekly food inventory and assist with ordering preparation Receive food and cleaning supply deliveries and verify accuracy Maintain health and safety documentation Perform and record water flushing in the log Follow all cleaning schedules provided by All Nations Banquet Hall Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or Food Management Valid Food Handler's Certificate Health and Safety Certificate Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check (within last 6 months) Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Minimum 2 years of experience of cooking
Schedule

Base hours:

7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Additional hours available based on catering demand and availability Must be flexible to work

evenings and weekends

as required for banquet hall events
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week

Work Location: In person
