Join Our Team
In partnership with the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS), TELUS Health is seeking a Registered Social Worker or Registered Psychotherapist to provide clinical services to youth aged 15 to 18 involved in the justice system.
This role supports youth under probation, open custody, or open detention orders, referred by probation officers or residential staff from facilities in Brampton and/or Mississauga.
This is a purpose-driven opportunity to provide impactful, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care to vulnerable adolescents in critical developmental stages.
The Difference You'll Make
In this meaningful role, you will work exclusively in-person, delivering individual and family counselling to justice-involved youth in Mississauga, and Brampton. You will work closely with MCCSS stakeholders to support rehabilitation and reintegration, ensuring services are accessible, clinically sound, and community-informed.
What You'll DoProvide timely intake, assessment, and counselling services upon referral from MCCSS probation or custody staff. Deliver short-to-medium-term interventions tailored to justice-involved youth and their families. Collaborate with probation officers, residential staff, and families to define treatment goals and care plans. Offer services using trauma-informed, strength-based, and culturally relevant modalities. Address complex needs related to trauma, violence, identity, family dynamics, and community reintegration. Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans as required. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain all documentation in accordance with MCCSS and TELUS Health guidelines. Participate in regular clinical supervision and peer consultations. Ensure timely communication with referral sources while maintaining client confidentiality. Adhere to service volume and engagement targets.

What You BringMaster's degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related discipline. Registration in good standing with: + Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), or
+ College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting youth facing justice involvement, mental health challenges, or complex trauma. Demonstrated experience working with mandated clients and understanding the youth justice system. Proficiency with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and trauma-informed practices. Professional liability insurance. Strong engagement, boundary-setting, and collaboration skills in high-risk environments.
