We are seeking compassionate and reliable Child and Youth Care Workers to join our team. Staff will provide day to day support, supervision, and guidance to youth residing in one of our staff model homes, using trauma-informed and strength base approaches.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support children and youth in daily routines and activities Assist with emotional, social and behavioural needs Implement individualized treatment and life skill plans Support schoolwork, recreation and cultural inclusion De-escalate and manage challenging behaviour Complete documentation (daily logs, incident reports, case notes) Work collaboratively with team members and community/protection agencies

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Child and Youth Services, or related field (or equivalant experience) Previous experience working with youth Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention Strong communication and relationship building skills Valid First Aid and CPR (or willingness to get) Medical Check required Clear Broad Sector Police check (or willingness to get) Valid drivers license and reliable transportation Driver's abstract
