Position Description:

Part Time - Independent Contractor - up to full time hours

Weekday, Daytime availability required, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends

Education / Qualification:

CYW (Child and Youth Worker)

CYC (Child & Youth Care)

Responsibilities:

Maintain enthusiasm and positivity while creating opportunities for growth and learning in a group setting with multiple support colleagues. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate programs for people with intellectual disabilities and unique needs and behaviours, with focus on person-centered, individualized plans, with a creative approach for clients who use augmentative and alternative communication methods, including devices, American Sign Language, and text to speech technology.

Position Requirements:

Child & Youth Worker / Child & Youth Care Worker Diploma Valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C Clear Vulnerable Sector Check, within last 3 months Experience with use of AAC and ASL to communicate Experience that relates to the posting Willing and able to support clients with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, medication, sensory, movement, and communication
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week
