Job Description

The Nairn Family Homes Child Support Worker role involves providing support, recreation, guidance and assistance to a child living in a Nairn Family Homes Foster Home. The role involves collaborating with the caregivers (foster parents), the family supervisor of the home, other professionals, and community resources to provide a positive and nurturing environment for young individuals.

Responsibilities include Client Support, Collaboration, Documentation, reporting to Supervisor and Professional Conduct.

Qualifications:

One of the following:

A. Certificate, Diploma or degree in a relevant program.

B. Experience or Skill in a relevant area (work or volunteer).

C. Previous experience working with children and youth in a similar capacity.

Knowledge of child development, behavioral interventions, and trauma-informed care.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing situations.

Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.60-$19.20 per hour
