Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a hospital setting and a strong background in patient care, particularly with pediatric populations. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' functional abilities and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities



Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their needs and establish appropriate treatment goals. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' physical, emotional, and social well-being. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and strategies for daily living. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with medical regulations. Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development. Engage in case management activities to facilitate continuity of care for patients transitioning between different levels of service.

Requirements



A Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Previous hospital experience is preferred, with a focus on acute care settings. Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to patient care. Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated ability in case management practices to support patient transitions and continuity of care.
