Child Development Facilitator

to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year to support our team at Child Development Centre (3820 - 24 Ave. NW).

This is a term position until June 30, 2026, with a start date of January 5, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement activities, strategies and schedules to address IPP goals.

Organize and prepare daily plans for individual children/student utilizing visual schedules, special seating, accessing and modifying learning materials, classroom equipment and activities to meet the needs of the child/student.

Focus on relationship building, to support the implementation of sensory-based strategies.

Assist children/student in play activities.

Documentation of child/student's progress.

Assist with classroom maintenance.

Support children with self care skills (i.e., toilet/diaper, feeding, etc.).

Qualifications:

A minimum grade twelve diploma. Post-secondary education in a related field (2 year program minimum) or equivalent work experience.

Experience working with children with special needs is preferred.

Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.

Pre-Requisite Security Clearance Documentation:

Successful candidates must provide us with a valid 'Calgary Police Check with Vulnerable Sector' dated within 3 months prior to their start date.

'Intervention Record Check through Alberta Child Services' is also required, however, we can support you with completing this during your onboarding.
