### Job Summary
The Child Care Worker at New Beginnings Young Parent Daycare and at the Eagle's Nest Early Learning Centre will plan and implement a developmentally appropriate childcare program, offering a nurturing environment for the care of children, encouraging their intellectual, physical, and emotional growth. This position will require knowledge of the Early Learning Framework and will work in close cooperation with the Child Care Supervisor, school staff and other Child Care Workers.

Your Role:
Archway's Child Care Worker with New Beginnings and Eagle's Nest contributes by:
• Working with the children, family, staff, and supervisor to provide an engaging early childhood experience.
• Carrying out developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for the children, which may include indoor/outdoor, and active/quiet activities.
• Attending to the children's physical needs which may include toileting, eating, sleeping, and other basic needs.
• Attending to the children's psychological and emotional needs which may include cuddling, rocking, and holding the child.
• Providing a healthy, safe, caring, and nurturing environment. Administering First Aid when necessary. Observing and removing potential hazards.
• Building and maintaining relationships with the parents/caregivers, either in person or over the phone.
• Using the Early Learning Framework and emergent curriculum to provide an environment that reflects the interests of the child.
This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with families, has experience working in child care, is knowledgeable about the Early Learning Framework, and, as a minimum, has their ECE license to practice.
### Our Offer
• Wage: $29.10 to $30.16 per hour, dependent on education.
• Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. NOTE: The successful candidate must be available for varying shifts during the week, within the hours of 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
• The position is temporary until June 30, 2025. (Possibility of an extension starting in September 2025 to June 2026.)

### Getting an Interview-you will be considered if you have:
• A minimum two years' post-secondary education with preference to those with a diploma/degree in the social service-related field.
• A minimum of two years' experience working alongside individuals who have been traditionally marginalized (e.g., individuals who are underserved and underrepresented).
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of legal/community resources and familiarity with poverty/social justice issues.
• Two years of experience in tenant, disability, and income support programs advocacy and, an ability to read, interpret and understand legislation.
The Job Requires you to have:
• Infant / Toddler License to Practice preferred or ECE license to practice.
• One year experience providing care to children.
• Knowledge of the Early Learning Framework.
Working Conditions:
• The ability to collaborate and work with family, staff, and community partners to provide a holistic and nurturing environment for the child.
• The ability to adapt and engage, which reflects the needs and interest of the child.
• The ability to work in an environment where there is a high level of noise and distraction from children.
• The ability to pay close attention to the child's physical and emotional needs.
• The ability to be involved in direct delivery of activities which may include moderate physical activity of walking, standing, bending, and lifting children up to 40 lbs.
• A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is a condition of employment.
• A current First Aid certificate is a condition of employment.
