We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SUBSTITUTE Childcare Providers to join our team. This position does offer set hours each week and is only casual based on the needs of the centre. THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME OR PART TIME POSITION!! The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong foundation in early childhood education. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met. The Childcare Provider will work closely with children of various ages, including those with disabilities, to foster their growth and learning.
Responsibilities
Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
Create and implement educational programs that align with early childhood education standards.
Provide care for children by ensuring their safety, health, and well-being at all times.
Assist children with daily routines such as meals, hygiene, and nap times.
Foster a positive environment that encourages social interaction and teamwork among children.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
Maintain a clean and organized classroom or play area conducive to learning.
Adapt activities to meet the needs of children with disabilities or special requirements.
Requirements
Proven experience in caregiving or working with children in a classroom setting.
Background in early childhood education is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
Ability to educate and inspire children through engaging activities.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young learners.
Knowledge of best practices for child safety and development.
Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of children throughout the day.
