Job Description

This position plans menus, prepares, and serves nutritional snacks and lunches in large quantities in accordance with Canada's Food Guide and the Child Care & Early Years Act.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, shifts and hours may fluctuate depending on the needs of the Centre, minimum of 30 hours per week.

Qualifications:

Minimum 19 years of age Minimum Ontario Secondary School Diploma Minimum 2 years' kitchen experience Current Safe Food Handlers Certificate Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C

Skills:

Organized with excellent interpersonal skills Ability to plan a varied menu for children in accordance with Canada's Food Guide and the Child Care & Early Years Act Ability to accommodate multiple allergies and/or food restrictions Skilled in preparation and cooking in large quantities Ability to work independently Regular lifting of up to 40lbs required
Eligible for pension, benefits, health days and professional development after successful 3 month probationary period.
