Judahcare Inc. is looking for Child and Youth Care Practitioner to;

provide support for private practice, work with children, youth, adolescents, and/or adults with challenging behaviours, in a variety of settings - in a client's home, in the community, hospital/healthcare environment, the developmental sector, residential & day programs, and educational settings.

Qualifications

Your education level - university degree/college diploma in a related field (eg. CYW/CYC) from a recognized, public, post-secondary institution. A minimum of 5 years paid work experience in managing challenging and disruptive behaviour - working with individuals in residential, non-residential, child welfare, community, hospital, school and other settings. Work experience in mental health, as well as any experience working with individuals of all ages with developmental challenges, dual diagnosis, FASD, Autism, and other. First aid/CPR certification Current Vulnerable Sector Police Background Check( No later than 6 Months) Ministry-approved Crisis Intervention (UMAB, CPI, TCI) Strong verbal and written communication skills
