Position Summary:
Are you a passionate and empathetic Child and Family Therapist ready to make a difference where it matters most? Vanier Children's Mental Wellness is on the lookout for a dedicated professional to join our Child and Youth Intensive Outreach Team -- a powerhouse of hope, healing, and transformation.
Our Intensive Outreach Program is a dynamic, community-based model that brings mental health care directly to those who need it most for children and youth ages 6-18 who are navigating complex mental health challenges. As part of this multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver customized, wrap-around support that empowers young people and their families to break through barriers, build resilience, and thrive at home, in school, and beyond. As a key member of this pioneering team, you'll work alongside a passionate group of professionals to co-create individualized care plans that foster resilience, healing, and hope.
Education/Training/Experience:
Master's degree in social work, psychology, or relevant from a university with recognized standing.
Registration in good standing with a professional college, ex. OCSWSSW or CRPO (Qualifying candidates will be provided supervision according to Vanier supervision policies).
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families, especially those with complex mental health challenges.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, child development, and family systems.
Training in a variety of treatment modalities including a supervised practicum in one of the areas of child development or family development and functioning.
Experience with school systems, foster care, juvenile justice, and home-based services is an asset.
Job Duties:
Provide direct services to youth and families, including psychosocial assessments, individual and family therapy, case management, and crisis intervention.
Collaborate closely with team members including psychiatrists, nurses, family advocates, school liaisons, and peer support specialists to develop and implement holistic, family-centered treatment plans.
Conduct home, school, and community-based visits to provide support where it's needed most.
Engage families and caregivers in treatment, supporting communication, parenting strategies, and family stability.
Coordinate services with child-serving systems such as schools, child welfare, and juvenile justice.
Participate in daily team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program standards and regulatory requirements.

35-hour work week.
