About the Opportunity
The Outpatient Psychiatry Team of four is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join them. The successful candidate will provide direct clinical psychiatric outpatient care for children and adolescents as well as emergency department services in conjunction with the crisis team. The office will be based at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital with potential clinics in Digby and Shelburne. Yarmouth Regional Hospital (YRH) was originally founded in 1912 and has developed into a vast health care complex serving the 60,000 people of Shelburne, Yarmouth, and Digby Counties. Located in Yarmouth, YRH has 124 inpatient beds and provides a range of primary and secondary services through in-patient, outpatient and satellite programs:

Responsibilities
provide care to outpatient clinic for patients under the age of 19
participate in program development, like the behaviour disorders and early psychosis intensive program
offer consultations to other physicians and rural clinics
contribute to and participate in teaching programs and activities
contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities as assigned
Expected Hours
full time, permanent
Qualifications
all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
