We are seeking a visionaryChief Partnerships and Growth Officer to lead our strategic growth in Canada.

The ideal candidate will bring strong business development acumen, a data-informed approach to strategic decision-making, and the ability to lead and influence high-performing teams in a collaborative consulting environment. A career background in technical consulting--such as biology, ecology, agrology, geoscience, planning, or regulatory permitting is a distinct advantage. This role is well-suited to someone looking to transition from technical delivery to strategic business development and leadership.

This position offers flexibility to be based remotely within Western Canada, with a preference for candidates located near one of our established regional hubs (e.g., Vancouver, Calgary, Saskatoon, or Prince George) to facilitate team collaboration and client engagement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:



Leading and implementing EDI's national business development strategy and execution, aligning with company vision, values, regional growth goals, and market opportunities

Providing leadership for Indigenous business initiatives, with an emphasis on meaningful partnerships, economic reconciliation, and measurable growth

Overseeing the proposal development process, focusing on:

Data-driven decision-making on go/no-go Proposal quality and win rate Efficiency metrics such as hours spent per successful bid
Leading and managing EDI's marketing, communications, and brand strategy to support business development and thought leadership positioning

Optimizing the integrated corporate wide use of client relationship management (CRM) tools and digital platforms to enhance tracking, reporting, and decision-making related to client and partner engagement

Providing guidance and support to regional teams and technical staff to support client development and growth of key focus areas

Collaborating with EDI's executive and regional leaders to integrate business development planning with operational and technical delivery

This role is pivotal in driving EDI's growth, particularly in the Prairies, and significantly expanding our Indigenous business initiatives. Success will be measured by increased client engagement, measurable growth in key accounts and new quality clients, and the establishment of impactful new partnerships that align with EDI's values.

Qualifications and Experience



Approximately 10 years of experience in a consulting or professional services environment, ideally including roles involving business development, client engagement, strategic partnerships, or leadership

Demonstrated experience with business development strategies and proposal efforts in a complex, multidisciplinary environment is an asset

Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations in Canada; knowledge of Indigenous governance, engagement protocols, and economic development models is a strong asset

Demonstrated ability to analyze data, make informed decisions and then drive performance improvements

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence across an organization

Familiarity with CRM platforms and marketing tools

Technical expertise in one of EDI's core service areas (e.g., terrestrial/aquatic biology, environmental permitting, reclamation) is an asset

The typical compensation range for this position is from $135,000 - $150,000 annually; the compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
