Job Overview



The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a cabinet and woodworking manufacturing company is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business and ensuring that production, quality, and customer satisfaction meet the company's standards and goals. This role involves managing all aspects of manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution while optimizing efficiency, safety, and cost control. The COO works closely with the CEO to develop and implement strategic plans, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement across departments, including production, sales, and customer service. By leading teams, monitoring performance metrics, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence, the COO ensures the company delivers high-quality woodworking products on time and maintains a strong reputation in the market.

Responsibilities



Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules are met with consistent quality and efficiency. Implement and manage operational systems, processes, and best practices to drive productivity and cost control. Lead and mentor department managers across production, supply chain, sales, and customer service. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to ensure alignment with company goals. Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute long-term growth strategies and business plans. Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental regulations, and industry standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in workflow, technology adoption, and product quality. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and key customers to support operational success.

Qualifications



Proven senior leadership experience in manufacturing, woodworking, or a related industry. Strong background in operations management, supply chain, and production planning. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, and quality control systems. Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and P&L management. Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on operational oversight. Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and compliance standards.

Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
