Chief Financial Officer

Job Description


This is a 15 month contract for a privately owned Real Estate company. Working in a hybrid model, the CFO will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits, compliance, and bank relationships. They will collaborate with the CEO and the executive team to make decisions regarding company\'s financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management.

Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing financial strategies, plans and forecasts to ensure the long-term financial viability and success of the organization.
- Providing financial guidance and advice to the executive team, including insights and analysis on financial performance, market trends, and other factors that may impact the business
- Developing and overseeing the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Managing the liquidity needs of the company.
- Ensure legal compliance on all financial functions
- Assessing and managing the financial risks faced by the company, including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and others.
- Managing tax filings and ensuring that all tax reporting is accurate and timely

- Previous experience as a CFO working within Real Estate or REIT or family office or asset management company with significant portfolio in real estate
- CPA designation required
- Experience with reviewing CAM, TMI, SOA
- Hands-on with strong business acumen, pace, and leadership skills
- A solid track record of reporting skills covering all consolidation, financial reporting, management reporting, and financial matters
- Experience with an IPO or starting up a company
- Conversant with leading financial software systems (including Yardi)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Superior intellect and a curious mindset; an ability to delve into the details of the business while staying focused on the big picture
