Reporting to:

Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Start Date:

Q4 2025.

Compensation:

$125,000-150,000 salary, plus bonus plan aligned with corporate goals.

We are seeking a strategic and operationally focused

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

to join our executive leadership team. This is a rare opportunity to shape the financial future of one of Canada's growing cannabis companies, driving sustainable growth and delivering value to stakeholders.

The Opportunity



As the CFO, you will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, leading the development and execution of Herbal Dispatch's financial strategy. This newly created full-time role transitions from a fractional CFO model, reflecting the company's readiness to enhance its financial leadership to support continued growth and operational excellence. You will oversee all financial, accounting, and reporting functions, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and public market obligations. With a cohesive management team, engaged shareholder base, and supportive Board of Directors, you will have the platform to make a transformative impact.

Key Responsibilities



Strategic Financial Leadership:

Partner with the CEO, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), and Controller to develop and implement strategies that enhance profitability, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

Oversee all financial reporting, including public market disclosures, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Resource Optimization:

Drive effective management of investments, cash flow, working capital, tax planning, and other financial activities to maximize value creation.

Governance & Best Practices:

Implement and maintain robust financial controls, governance frameworks, and planning processes aligned with industry best practices.

Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, external auditors, legal advisors, government agencies, and tax authorities.

Systems & Process Improvement:

Lead the implementation and optimization of financial reporting systems, ERP integration, transaction processing, and tools to support cross-functional business units.

Business Development Support:

Provide financial expertise for project financing, contract negotiations, and strategic partnerships to fuel growth initiatives.

Team Leadership:

Mentor and develop the finance and project accounting teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.

Qualifications



Professional Designation:



Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) required.

Education:



Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience:



Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role with direct reports, ideally within a publicly traded company. Proven track record in developing and executing strategic financial plans in regulated industries, preferably with international commerce exposure. Demonstrated success in investor relations, stakeholder management, and negotiating major financial transactions.

Skills & Competencies:



Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and business analysis. Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities with a passion for team development. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders. Strategic mindset with the ability to balance operational execution and long-term vision.

Industry Knowledge:



Experience in the cannabis, consumer goods, or technology-driven sectors is an asset.
