Job Description

Who you are
An experienced leader adept at managing organization-wide facilities management projects. You bring management skills focused on building, developing and maintaining a cohesive team. You navigate relationships with clients, partners and central agencies with diplomacy all while championing the interests of the organization. You have excellent communication skills, and are able to convey messages clearly, concisely and with conviction.
What you'll do
The Chief, Facilities Management is accountable for the management and oversight of accommodation and administration services at the CNSC headquarters, site locations and regional offices. Activities include:
  • Management of human resources which includes supervision and direction to the work unit;
  • Management and oversight over financial resources;
  • Liaising with clients, partners and central agencies to resolve issues that require management intervention;
  • Oversight over facilities management and administration services;
  • Providing advice, briefings and presentations to senior executives.
Essential Qualifications:
Education:
Degree from a recognized university with specialization in Commerce, Economics, Architecture, Business Administration or another relevant field of study, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and job knowledge.
Language Requirements:
Bilingual imperative with proficiency at CBC level.

Experience:
  • Managing organization-wide accommodation/facilities projects that impact many individuals in the organization.
  • Managing human resources which includes supervision and direction to the work unit
  • Experience managing financial resources which includes establishing financial forecasts, and making recommendations on the proper usage of financial resources
  • Liaising and negotiating with clients, partners and central agencies on facilities related issues
  • Experience providing advice, briefings and presentations to senior management.

Operational Needs:
All CNSC staff are subject to the Mobility Directive.
This position requires occasional travel.
Hours of Work: Normal business hours with occasional overtime as needed
Overtime: Overtime may be required.
