This position is full-time, permanent, and full-time in the office.
Responsibilities
Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
Read, understand, and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
Examine drawings for conformity and errors
Identify the suitability and availability of materials
Provide accurate quantity takeoffs/estimates for assigned jobs
Quantify scope of work from plans and /or site conditions
Review site, specifications, drawings, scopes of work, and contracts ensuring all required aspects are quoted as required
Prepare and submit cost proposals and budget proposals with required documentation
Ensure pricing consistency by maintaining and tracking historical pricing information on quoted and completed projects
Work to track and establish reliable labor template samples to use on new opportunities
Take part in specialist or multidisciplinary team meetings
Assist in the execution of existing projects if and when required in any area within the employee expertise as it may be assigned from time to time
Report to management activities as required by management in appropriate forms
Research materials, costs, secure contracts with suppliers as it may be required for projects and requested by the employer
Review & finalize with director and /or manager for presentation to clients
Perform other duties as required

Qualifications and Experience
3+ years direct experience in the construction field with rainscreen cladding or sheet metal and/or exterior building envelope
Basic computer knowledge - Microsoft Office programs, administration skills such as printing documents, scanning files, keeping an organized file of projects
Graduate from engineering, architectural or construction management program is an asset
Previous experience in Procore, AUTOCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam is an asset
Excellent communication, both verbal and written
Knowledge of local construction market and building codes
