We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced

Chess Instructor

to join our teaching team! This position focuses on teaching children aged

5-12 years old

, at

beginner to intermediate

levels, in

small group classes

(typically 5-8 students per group).

The ideal candidate should be passionate about chess education, patient with young learners, and able to create an engaging, positive, and interactive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

Teach structured chess lessons to children aged 5-12. Create a fun, motivating, and supportive learning atmosphere. Guide students to develop critical thinking, focus, and strategy through gameplay. Manage small group sessions (5-8 students) and adjust teaching methods according to different skill levels. Prepare lesson materials and simple progress reports when needed.

Qualifications:

Prior experience teaching chess to children (in-person or online) preferred. Strong understanding of chess fundamentals and strategies. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Energetic, patient, and engaging teaching style.

Schedule & Term:

This is a

seasonal but stable

teaching position, with opportunities to teach during our

Winter, Spring, and Summer Camps

.
Additional

regular weekly classes

may be offered during the school year for interested students.
