We are looking for a knowledgeable and patient

Chemistry Tutor

to provide one-on-one or small group instruction to students in need of academic support. The ideal candidate should be proficient in general, organic, inorganic, or physical chemistry (depending on student needs) and able to explain complex scientific concepts in a clear and engaging way.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personalized tutoring sessions in Chemistry to students at high school level Explain scientific theories, chemical reactions, equations, and lab procedures in a simplified manner Help students improve understanding, problem-solving skills, and exam performance Assist with homework, lab reports, test prep (e.g., AP Chemistry, SAT Subject Tests), and assignments Track and report student progress, and adjust tutoring strategies as needed Prepare lesson plans, practice problems, and study materials tailored to individual needs Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or currently enrolled) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and ability to teach at the required academic level Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to simplify complex topics and adapt to different learning styles Comfortable with online platforms and digital whiteboards (for remote sessions)

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree (M.Sc., Ph.D.) in a chemistry-related field Experience preparing students for standardized tests (AP, IB, MCAT, etc.) Teaching certification or tutoring credentials Lab experience and ability to support lab-related coursework
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
