The Role




The Department of Science requires a lab instructor for CH1010 L1 and CH1010 L2 for the Fall 2025 term, and CH1020 L2 for the Winter 2026 term.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have Bachelors Degree in Chemistry. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:


Candidates must have a Chemistry Degree , experience /knowledge of 1st and 2nd year Chemistry laboratory preparation, Standard First Aid and WHMIS Certificates are required. Knowledge in the use of associated Chemistry laboratory equipment is expected. Candidates must be able to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles. Knowledge of Northwestern Polytechnic courses and current educational technologies commonly found in classrooms (e.g., videoconferencing, D2L) are desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Highly qualified faculty, who seek to continuously improve instruction and meet the need of learners. Willingness to work with and support the Teaching & Learning Centre. Student Focused. Strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong relationships across the organization. A high level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
