We are currently looking for a Production Operator to join the team. This role will have monthly rotating shifts based on a full time work schedule. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with working mornings, afternoon and overnight shifts.

PRODUCTION OPERATION - CHEMICAL OPERATOR: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working closely with the Quality Assurance and Quality Control department to adhere to all GMP and CGMP policies and tasks.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, while ensuring compliance with PPE and GMP policies and procedures.
• Execution of the production schedule, meeting both production and HSE targets.
• Safe operation of equipment by following standard operating procedures, identifying problems and operating limits.
• Following recommended safe work procedures and work to promote personal safety and safety of others.
• Report equipment maintenance as needed; keep organized maintenance records for all equipment in the production area.
• Communicating and documenting issues as required
• Identifying opportunities to improve production efficiency and safety and bring them to the attention of production leads
• Perform sanitation procedures for equipment and premises as outlined by Sanitation SOP's, record tasks as required.
• Perform pre-operational inspections before running equipment
• Approving and releasing of incoming raw materials based on outlined specifications
• Shipping and receiving as well as storage of incoming materials
• Maintain non-food chemicals and food ingredients to prevent chemical food safety hazards in food processing areas.

A LITTLE ABOUT YOU!

• A team player!
• High School Diploma or equivalent with grade 12 Chemistry (preferred)
• Familiarity with ISO certifications and Good Manufacturing Processes
• Results oriented, able to work as part of a functional team
• Flexible to work shifts (both during mornings, afternoon and graveyard shifts)
• This role does involve heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, so we're looking for someone that is physically capable for this position
• 4th or 5th Class power engineer certification in BC in an asset
