We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chef and Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food service. As a vital part of our restaurant management, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow during service hours
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, to maintain efficiency and teamwork
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
Oversee food preparation processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to food safety regulations
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients in compliance with safety standards
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations
Serve as a leader during shifts, providing guidance and support to team members
Assist in training new staff members on food handling, safety procedures, and restaurant policies
Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus and special offerings that meet customer expectations
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or food service environment
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
Deep understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Experience with restaurant management tasks such as inventory control and quality assurance
Knowledge of the food industry trends, hospitality practices, and customer service excellence
