Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, to ensure efficient workflow
Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards
Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Develop new menu items and contribute to menu planning based on customer preferences and seasonal availability
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge
Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold restaurant standards
Ensure timely service during busy hours while maintaining high-quality food output
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
Background in the food industry, hospitality, or related fields is preferred
Exceptional culinary skills with an eye for detail in food presentation
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and efficiency
Knowledge of current culinary trends and innovative cooking techniques
Previous experience serving diverse customer needs within a restaurant setting is advantageous
