We are looking for a hands-on Chef for a small wellness cafe with a simple menu and a calm working environment. This role is practical and operational. You will cook, plate, serve, and clean on lighter working days, keeping 100% of tips and guest appreciation. On busy days, you will have assistance from servers and a plate cleaner, so your responsibility will be focused on the kitchen only. This is not a fine-dining or creative chef position, but a cozy cafe within a wellness club.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook simple cafe menu items consistently and accurately
Prepare drinks and cocktails
On slower working days, handle all cafe tasks, including cooking, plating, serving, and plate cleaning
On busy weekends, focus primarily on cooking while servers and plate cleaners support service and cleanup
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, work surfaces, equipment, and storage
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
Coordinate smoothly with servers and front-desk staff
Keep the kitchen organized, stocked, and ready for daily service
Track inventory levels and place supply orders on time
Requirements
Previous experience in a cafe, small kitchen, or similar food service environment
Food Handler certificate (required)
Smart Serve certificate (required)
Police background check (required)
Ability to cook, plate, serve, and clean during the same shift
Reliable, organized, and respectful working style
Strong references from previous employers (required)

Clear communication and professional behavior with guests and team members
Willingness to complete a paid trial shift
Agreement to a probation period first 30 days.
