This role requires confidence in

as well as the ability to prepare
Indian?inspired appetizers and lunch items
(not full traditional Indian cuisine). You will oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain food safety standards, manage prep and service, and contribute creative ideas to both Western and Indian starter menus.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation
Oversee daily kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food quality
Develop and innovate menu items that align with the restaurant's concept and customer preferences
Manage food handling procedures in compliance with food safety regulations
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and promote a positive work environment
Ensure proper food portioning, cooking techniques, and serving practices are followed
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Maintain excellent customer service by ensuring timely serving of dishes and addressing guest feedback
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
Supervising experience within a busy kitchen or hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff and serve guests efficiently
Background in the food industry with hands-on experience in kitchen operations
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development
Prior experience in food service, hospitality, or related fields is highly desirable
