Job Summary


We are seeking (2) dedicated and skilled Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a CDP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering delicious meals to our guests in a timely manner.

Duties



Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Have a general understanding of Italian cuisine, regional specialties, and seasonal Ontario products. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas. Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure the health and safety of all customers. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and kitchen protocols.

Skills



Proficient in food preparation techniques with a strong understanding of Italian culinary methods. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment. Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or food service setting is preferred. Strong knife skills, and contemporary cooking techniques. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 44 per week
