Overview
We seek a dedicated and passionate Chef de partie to join our culinary team. A Chef de partie oversees and ensuring high-quality dish preparation, consistency, and efficiency. This role involves leadership, technical skill, and collaboration to maintain seamless kitchen operations.
Duties
• Lead the line cooks and ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
• Execute recipes accurately, manage mise en place, and innovate specials or seasonal items.
• Train and guide Commis Chefs and junior staff, fostering a productive environment.
• Taste and inspect dishes, addressing inconsistencies promptly.
• Monitor stock levels, minimize waste, and assist in ordering supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness, adhere to food safety protocols, and ensure sanitation standards.
• Report to sous chef and executive chef.
• Contribute ideas for menu updates under senior chefs' guidance.
• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
Skills
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including cooking methods, equipment usage, and food preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations within the food service industry.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members in the kitchen.
• Attention to detail in meal preparation to ensure consistency in presentation and flavor.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
