The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Centre Regina is currently recruiting for an experienced multi- cuisine Chef de Partie.
The Chef de Partie will assist the Executive and Sous Chefs in the daily operation of the banquet events execution. This position is a working supervisory position required to perform scheduled duties on and off the line and is also required to guide associates in accordance with the policies and procedures in the kitchen.
Our ideal Chef de Partie will be able to successfully manage and coach when dealing with customer concerns, ensuring each guest has an amazing DoubleTree Experience. Hours will fluctuate between 30-40+/week. You will be responsible for coaching and developing while working alongside the team ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met at all times.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assist in training and developing the line and banquet cook teams
• Work with the Chef to ensure food quality and presentation standards are of the highest standards
• Assist with inventory control and stocking, maintaining budgeted food costs
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
• Assist in promotion of specials and contests
• May be required to input payroll and assist with scheduling
• Ensure a clean, safe and respectful environment for all team members
Preferred Education & Qualifications :
• Minimum 3 -5 years of commercial kitchen experience
• Demonstrated leaderships abilities with effective verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and managerial skills
• Previous experience as a supervisor is preferred
• Proficiency with English communication both written and verbal
• Must be able to problem solve independently
• Stays up to date with current Health and Safety regulations
