Company Description Fogo Island Inn is an initiative of Shorefast, whose mission is to build cultural and economic resilience on Fogo Island and promote community well-being by building and sharing new models of economic development. The Chef de Partie, based at the Fogo Island Inn, will excel in a fast-paced and energetic environment. The Chef de Partie will maintain and enforce menu standards set bythe Inn to ensure consistently high guest satisfaction. General responsibilities
Assist with organization and setup of outside function/catering
Responsible for adherence to established quality and sanitation standards
Setup of station for service and cleaning of station and kitchen following end of service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchens and storage areas
Other responsibilities as necessary to enhance the guest experience
Qualifications The ideal candidate:
A sound understanding of the culinary arts and passionate about food
Has formal culinary training and extensive professional experience (5-10+ years experience required)
In enthusiastic, friendly, has good communication skills, and enjoys working in a team environment
Has the ability to teach and motivate others
Has the ability to adapt and react quickly to fluid situations while maintaining a positive attitude
