Located in downtown Oakville,

XII - Old Fashioned Restaurant

is a new and exciting concept taking Old Oakville by storm. Starring a simple a la carte menu of 'Nothing but the Best' steak cuts, fresh seafood and local favourites and paired with classic libations and a star-studded wine list.

While dining the entertainment on stage will make you feel like you were part of history. Each night, our stage will have live crooners, jazz and big band performing classics; it's dinner and a show all in one; the cat's meow!

THE JOB



We are seeking a mature, experienced, and career-driven

CHEF DE CUISINE

to join our new & exciting team!

Reporting to the Owner, the

CHEF DE CUISINE

will be responsible for leading the entire kitchen operation, the team and maintaining food quality, consistency, inventory and cost. The ideal candidate would have been in similar role for at least 5 years and have 3 years of management experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES



You will be responsible for efficient day to day operations, while abiding by health and safety standards.

- Leading all back-of-house staff

- Scheduling and labour control based on budgets and volumes

- Hiring and mentoring staff

- Execution of dishes according to recipes and specs

- Inventory control

- Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment

- Creating and maintaining cleaning schedules

- Enforcing safety and sanitation policies

Maintain food quality and consistency with a keen eye for detail in regard to food presentation/placement Manage the procurement process for ordering product and inspecting deliveries to ensure product consistency and quality Report costing and budget for all food and labor Attend meetings where required and communicate to all staff RE: policies and practices as they align with business practices Training staff to prepare and cook all the menu items

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS



Completion of secondary school is required 5+ years of experience in a similar position required Food Handler's Certificate is required Strong team work abilities Proficient at financial responsibilities Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment Excellent leadership skills Skilled in the culinary field Must be willing to work flexible shifts Positive mindset Long periods of standing and walking is required Repetitive use of hands, dexterity, bending down

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
