About the Role:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Business Development Manager

to join our growing professional services firm. This individual will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base by introducing our part-time

finance, accounting, and human resources

services to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) across Canada.

Our ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator and highly organized individual who brings a structured methodology to cultivating B2B relationships and executing

services sales and channel development

strategies. You should have a strong grasp of the Canadian SMB landscape, particularly in the GTA, and the proven ability to build trust and inspire confidence in Presidents, CEOs, and business owners within services, manufacturing, not-for-profit, and charitable organizations.

Key Responsibilities:



? Develop and maintain referral and network channels to continuously expand our reach within the SMB sector. Channels would include public accounting firms, law firms, international organizations and many others.
? Identify and engage prospective clients across a wide variety of industries, including services, manufacturing, not-for-profit organizations, and charities.

? Set up and conduct video meetings with prospective clients to learn about their operational and strategic needs.

? Present and explain our suite of part-time bookkeeping, controllership, and HR services, and demonstrate how we can deliver both operational excellence and strategic leadership.

? Guide prospective clients toward a commitment to engage with our firm.

? Collaborate with our General Manager and Office Manager to prepare and send client engagement letters.
? Manage follow-ups and client communications through to engagement letter signing.

? Work with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff and onboarding experience.

? Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipelines, and follow-up actions.

? Proficiency in digital marketing, social media, and outreach strategies is considered a strong asset.

Qualifications & Skills:



? Minimum 10 years of B2B sales or business development experience, with a proven ability to sell professional or outsourced services.

? Demonstrated success in working with Presidents, CEOs, and other senior decision-makers, particularly in the SMB space.

? Extensive network in the GTA and across Canada, with the ability to uncover new business opportunities.

? Structured, organized, and methodical approach to sales and client engagement.

? Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey credibility and build trust.

? Knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms is a strong asset.

? Comfortable using CRM and other digital tools to manage sales processes and track progress.
